Committees

The Awards Committee oversees the nomination and selection process for the annual Association Excellence Awards presented by the New Mexico Society of Association Executives at the Annual Membership Meeting.  

Commitment: Two (2) phone calls per year of approximately one hour. 

The Education Committee oversees the development and implementation of educational programming for the Growing Leaders Academy.

The Growing Leaders Academy consists of a series of educational seminars that help association professionals develop essential  skills needed to be leaders in the association industry.  

Commitment: Meets every other month in person. 

The Legislative Committee makes recommendations on legislative tracking and issues of interest to the association professional community. The committee also assists in coordinating association executive networking events during the legislative session. 

Commitment: Four (4) phone calls per year of approximately one hour. 

The Membership Committee focuses on the recruitment of new members by identifying prospects, assisting in the development of member recruitment initiatives, and acting as new member ambassadors and champions for membership. 

Commitment: Four (4) phone calls per year of approximately one hour.
